

Henry Gomez, 91 of Coppell, Texas passed away Sunday, June 8, 2014 at Elmcroft Memory Center in Lewisville, Texas. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Service time is set for 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at the church with Monsignor John McCaffrey officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
Henry Gomez was born on April 11, 1923 in Bryan, Texas to Rafael and Elvira Gomez. He graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers for 51 years. He enjoyed his family, fishing and hunting.
He is preceded in death by his wife Helen Gomez; daughter Theresa Robbins; grandson Trevor Jochimsen; brothers, Fred Gomez, Manuel Gomez, George Gomez, Joe Gomez, Ralph Gomez, Raymond Gomez; and sisters, Irene Peterson and Mary Villareal.
Survivors include his sons, Richard Gomez and wife Terry of Lake Jackson, Texas and James Gomez and wife Olga of Coppell, Texas; daughters, Anthonette Blakeslee and husband Richard of Wylie, Texas, Chris Dowling and husband Raymond of Bryan, Texas; grandsons, Darren Robbins and wife Karen of Pflugerville, Texas, Glenn Gomez of Coppell, Texas, Cullen Dowling of Bryan, Texas; granddaughters, Jennifer Stirk of DeBary, Florida, Sara Lopez and husband Manny of Lake Jackson, Texas, Hillary Gomez of New York, NY, Audrey Dowling of Katy, Texas, Lauren Dowling of Bryan, Texas; great grandchildren, Scott and Sawyer Robbins of Pflugerville, Texas, Emma Stirk of DeBary, Florida, Jonathon, Anthony Lopez, and Weston Rinehimer of Katy, Texas; sisters, Evelyn and Summer Kohlhund of DeRidder, Louisiana, Lucille Hardin of Bryan Texas, Rosemary Duncan of Arlington, Texas.
Pallbearers will be Richard Gomez, James Gomez, Darren Robbins, Glenn Gomez, Cullen Dowling, Scott Robbins, Sawyer Robbins, Jonathon Lopez, Anthony Lopez.
