Isidro Martinez Bermudez

Born January 7, 1963, in Reynosa Tamaulipas, Mexico, Isidro Martinez Bermudez was a remarkable individual who loved his family deeply. He had been a resident of Tyler, Texas, formerly living in Bryan, Texas. He was the beloved son of Raymond and Maria Carrillo. Isidro went to Bryan High School. He worked for the Bryan Independent School district for 15 years, Saint Michael’s Episcopal School for 6 years and later joining the Tyler Independent School District for 8 years.

Isidro will be remembered for being a hard worker, his kindness, generosity, easy laughter and the love he had for his family. He was a devoted “Aggie” and a Cowboy fan. He liked gardening, collecting baseball cards, lowriders, BBQing and most importantly, spending time with family.

Isidro shared his life and love with wife, Ruth Ontiveros Bermudez, for 45 years. He was a cherished father to his six children, Anna, Stephanie, Christina, Isidro Steven, Daniel and Michael.

Isidro was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Maria Carrillo; sister, Maria de Carmen Bermudez; brother, Roger Carrillo; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Tim and Carolina Ontiveros; sister-in-law, Mary Alice Garcia and Brothers-in-law, Edward Ontiveros, Sr. and David Webb.

Isidro Martinez Bermudez leaves behind his wife, Ruth Ontiveros Bermudez; three daughters, Anna (Ruben) Garcia, Stephanie Chavez, Christina (Johnny) Gonzales; three sons, Isidro Steven (Sandra) Bermudez, Daniel (Tracey) Bermudez and Michael (Lisa) Bermudez; sisters, Nora (Manuel) Ontiveros, Patricia Webb, Debbie (Rudy) Ontiveros; brothers, Ralph, Richard, Ruben, and Raymond Carrillo; along with twenty-28 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and his beloved fur babies Bella & Max.

Visitation will be from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am – 12:00 pm, Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan with burial to follow at Bryan City Cemetery.
