Graveside service will be held Saturday September 10 at 2:00 p.m. at Bryan City Cemetery.
Jim was born August 30, 1941 in Williamson County, Texas the son of Nathaniel and Samie Margaret (Pollard) Lansford. He was a member of Slaughter Road Baptist Church in Freeport, and baptized at the age of 15. Jim proudly served in the U.S. Navy.
Jim is preceded in death by his brothers, Glen, Nathaniel and Rainey Lansford, sister, Lois Safley and granddaughter, Jade Lansford.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Louise Lansford; sons and daughters-in-law, Edward and Christine Lansford, James Lansford, Robert Lansford, Eugene and Billie Lansford; daughters and son-in-law, Shannon and John Allen, Charline Lansford; sister, Emily “Jody” Crunk; grandchildren, Wathene, Preston, Shellsea, Kenneth, Faith, Jocelyn, Jaslene and Nathaniel.
