Janie Ruiz Ramirez

Ramirez, 79, of Bryan, passed away Saturday July 13, 2013 at St. Joseph Regional Health Center. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 17 at Memorial Funeral Chapel with a rosary at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be 2 p.m. Thursday, July 18 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Janie was born January 27, 1934 in Cameron to Felipe and Louisa Ruiz. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be missed by numerous family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Leonardo Ramirez; her parents; son Robert Ramirez; and daughter.

Survivors include her daughters, Sally RamirezAguado and husband Mauro, Rachel Ramirez, Linda Martinez and husband Manuel, Terry Ramirez Garcia and husband Benito Sr., Irene Garcia and husband Joe Jr., all of Bryan; special grandchildren, Anthony Ramirez and Melissa Denise Ramirez; sister-in-law, Elena Ruiz; as well as numerous grandchildren and the family would like to thank the staff of Brazos Valley Home Health Services, specifically Jessica Alaniz, Brandee Brooks and Josie Cherico.
