Jerry Wayne (The Flash) Barnes, 65 of Bryan passed away Tuesday June 10, 2014 at St. Joseph Regional Hospital in Bryan. Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, June 15 from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Memorial Funeral Chapel in College Station. Funeral Services will be at 10 A.M. Monday June 16, 2014 at the Trinity Baptist Church in Bryan with Rev. Henry Stovall officiating. Burial will follow at Alexander Cemetery near Tabor.
Jerry was born in Brazos County to Walter and Elsie Boyd Barnes. He attended school in Bryan and worked several different jobs, his last job as a lawnmower mechanic.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents Walter and Elsie Barnes.
He is survived by two brothers, Philip (Big Wheel) Barnes of Bryan and Rick (Tippy Joe) Barnes of Ft. Worth.
