Jessie James Hernandez

Jessie was born in Hearne, Texas, to Jessie P. and Maria Anita (Servantes) Hernandez. He married the love of his life, JoAnn Camarillo, and together they built a family filled with love and dedication.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jessie Hernandez Sr.; his sister, Cynthia Villarreal; and his in-laws, Mary and Manuel Alaman Jr.; and brother in-law Ricky Ruiz.

Left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife of 44 years, JoAnn Hernandez; daughter, Jessica (Michael) Pineda and grandsons Joseph and Christian Pineda; son, Jessie J. Hernandez Jr.; daughter, Maria (Jose) Hernandez and grandsons Jose III, Cruz, Luca, and Diego Hernandez. He is also survived by his mother, Mary Ann Hernandez; brother, Jerry (Alice) Hernandez, sister-in-law, Lisa(Orlando) Davis; brother-in-law, Victor Villarreal; father in-law, Curtis Camarillo, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Jessie was a hardworking man who dedicated 33 years of service to Brazos County Road & Bridge before retiring. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, devotion to his family, and the love he poured into the lives of all who knew him. His legacy will continue to live on through his children, grandchildren, and the countless memories shared with family and friends.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11AM Wednesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Bryan City Cemetery. A visitation from 5PM to 8PM with a 6:30PM Rosary Tuesday at Memorial Funeral Chapel Bryan.
