J.O. Siegert

J.O. Siegert, 77, of Bryan, passed away at his home Friday, September 23, 2011. Visitation will be Monday, September 26 from 4:30 until 6:30 p.m. with a rosary service at 6:30 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday September 27 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Smetana Cemetery. J.O. was born April 12, 1934 in Bryan to James and Mary Siegert. He first attended school in Smetana but later went to school at St. Joseph for eight years and finishing at Stephen F. Austin. He began working with his father at an early age learning the water well business. In 1965, his father retired and he took over the business. All his sons worked in the water well business with him at different times. Three of his sons established their own businesses while the youngest son stayed with him and the oldest son had returned to the water well business where the three worked together. One son lives is in New York. J.O. and his wife Sondra were married in 1972 and the youngest son Jason was born in 1974. They celebrated their 39th year of marriage in January of 2011. He was a loving grandfather, a loyal friend, a father who loved all seven of his children, and last a most beloved husband. He is preceded in death by his parents; and daughter Julie Hall. Survivors include his wife Sondra; son Jason and wife Charissa Siegert and their daughters Jaci and Addison; son Darrell and his daughters Cassie, Jamie, and Charissa; son Rick and wife Sheri Siegert and their sons William and Dusty; son Nick and wife Lisa Siegert and their children Stephanie, Zack, Taylor, Morgan, Martha Kate, and Cameron; son James and wife Oriana Siegert and their daughters Shuim, Dianna; and son Taylor Siegert; son Wayne and wife Annette Hall and their daughters Katie, Jenny, and Ashley; grandson Nicholas Wasilewski; sister Linda and Husband Sonny Warren; brothers Bobby and wife LaVal Siegert, Paul and wife Melinda Siegert; and numerous great-grandchildren. “Goodbye Popo – May Angels Guide You To Your Rest” In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice Brazos Valley at 502 W. 26th Street Bryan, TX 77803.

I was saddened to hear of J.O.'s passing. My dad passed a year ago Sept. It's very hard still. My heart goes out to you all.
