Born June 19, 1947 in Bryan, Texas, Johnie was the son of the late Johnie Morrell Sr. and Mary Ruffino Morrell. He is survived by a sister, Beverly Cherry of Houston, Texas; extended family members; his caregivers and friends.
A visitation for Johnie will be held Friday, October 17, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Following the visitation will be a rosary and funeral service at 11:00 AM at Memorial Funeral Chapel. Interment will be at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Bryan, Texas.
