Josie G. Martinez

A visitation for Josie will be held Friday, June 6, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan. Rosary service will be 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, June 7, 2025 at 2:00 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Josie was born August 26, 1935 in Yorktown, Texas, she later moved to Bryan where she met and married her husband, Jose Martinez and they raised their beautiful family. Josie loved cooking for her family and for the neighborhood. Everyone loved her bean tacos and homemade flour tortillas. She also enjoyed having her grandchildren and great-grandchildren over at her home. Josie loved dancing and having a cold beer with her family.

Josie is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jose Martinez; daughter, Veronica Martinez; sons, Ralph, Robert and Roy Garcia; son-in-law, Armando Salinas; parents,Juan and Luz Gonzales; brothers, Albert, Tony Rosendo; sisters, Ruby and Pauline.

Josie leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughters, Laura Gonzales-Flores and husband Daniel, Isabell Duran and husband Ernest, Beatrice Soto and Melissa Salinas; brothers, Johnny and Michael Morales; sister, Betty Duron; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other family members.
