Laverne I will miss you so much, but I am so thankful for all the fun times we had when we were teenagers, all the so called trouble we got into, not really but we had fun trying, I loved it when you lived with us, Mom called you her daughter, you were always her daughter till she went to be with the lord, I know you will see her there and she will love it. you are the best friend I ever had and you never stopped praising God even when you were in such pain, I admired you for that, I loved the laughter, you are so special to me I will miss you and look forward to seeing you in heaven one day.

I met Mama LaVerne in 1980, when her daughter Tina and I were in Junior High! She was a blessing in my life, as I was growing up, and she became a second Mom to me. She shared her wisdom, with Tina and I, and wasn't just a Mom, she was also a friend! She was always there with a hug, a smile, and a day never went by, where she didn't tell you, how much she loved you. There were many times, when Tina and I tested Mama LaVerne's patience, yet she never lost her temper, and instead would sit us down, as a friend would, and guide us in the right direction. And then there were the good times...family outings, holidays, just so many good times. She made me feel part of the family, and took me under her wings! She will be greatly missed! I want to thank her, for sharing her life with me, and for allowing me to be a part of her family. Love you lots Mama LaVerne!
