Lois Cox Swanson was born December 30, 1926 to Nellie Sue and William Short in Freeport, Texas. She retired after 30 years from Shell Oil and became active in the community. After moving to Bryan/College Station in 1997, she continued community service and served as President of Newcomers 1999 - 2000 and Brazos County Hospice Auxiliary 2014 – 2015.
Lois passed away on November 14 2024. She was predeceased by husbands Ralph Records, Ralph Cox, and Ben Swanson; brother James Short; Sister Mary Lorene Lucas of Bryan; and adopted daughter Tanya Marie of Houston.
She is survived by a son Bliss Records of Houston; grandsons Bliss Records Jr., Justin Records, and Alex Marie; as well as niece Susan Lucas and nephew James Lucas.
