

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 28 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at Msgr. Gleissner Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 5 – 8 p.m. Thursday with an Alter Society Rosary at 4:30 and evening Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan.
Margaret was born May 8, 1925 in Bryan the daughter of Joe Frank and Josephine (Lorea) Scanlin. She married Frank J. Elbrich, Jr. on August 25, 1946 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. In 1964 she and Frank opened Twin City Meat Company in Bryan. Margaret was also employed with Bryan ISD at several schools as the cafeteria manager; she retired after 16 years of service. She was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, the alter society, Gold Medallion and the Celebrity Ladies Bowling League. Margaret enjoyed cooking, playing cards, watching westerns, playing on her iPad, gardening, feeding the birds in her yard and taking trips to Las Vegas and Louisiana. She was a kind, loving, gentle caring person.
Margaret is preceded in death by her husband, Frank J. Elbrich, Jr; brothers, Frank Scanlin, Joe Scanlin, Pete Scanlin and Ross Scanlin; sister, Angelina Deluke; and a grandson, Lance Michael Elbrich.
She is survived by her son, Frank J. Elbrich, III; granddaughter, Payton Reann Elbrich; great-grandson to arrive soon, Easton Jordan Elbrich; her best four legged friend her dog, Lucky; and numerous nieces and nephews.
