Martin Salazar Barron

Martin Salazar Barron, age 68, of Bryan, Texas passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. The family will receive friends Sunday, March 24, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan, with the Rosary to be recited at 6:30 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, March 25, 2019 at 10:00 AM at St Joseph Catholic Church, 600 E 26th St, Bryan, Texas 77803, with Reverend Steve Sauser as Celebrant.
Martin was born March 12, 1951 in Caldwell, Texas, the son of John A. and Feliciana Salazar Barron. He enlisted in the Army in 1969 and served as a Medical Specialist. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and was honorably discharge in 1972 as a SP4. Martin was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He was employed at Conlee-Garrett Moving & Storage for over 25 years and drove the equipment truck for the Aggie Band and the A&M Football Team. When he wasn’t working, Martin enjoyed socializing and spending time with friends while enjoying a cold beer. He enjoyed watching Walker, Texas Ranger and his Aggies and Cowboys play football.
Martin was preceded in death by his parents, John & Feliciana Barron; four sisters: Annie Garcia, Mary Lopez, Delfina Barron and Louise Frost.
Survivors include his longtime friend, Mary Mason; three children: Rhonda Barron & her Fiancée Charlie Rodriguez, Monica & Daniel Medina, Mark & Michelle Dominguez; fourteen grandchildren: Sierra Shivok, Colby Shivok, Lia Rodriguez, Isaiah Rodriguez, Desirae Samaniego, Javier Samaniego, Jailen Martinez, Anastasia Noormohammadi, Emilio Dominguez, Mark Dominguez, Jr., Joshua Dominguez, Matthew Dominguez, Dakota Dominguez, Dylon Dominguez; five great grandchildren; four brothers: Frank & Mary Jane Barron, Ambrose & Lee Barron, John & Dora Barron, Ernest Barron; three sisters: Connie & Sam Lopez, Inez & Mario Juarez, and Lupe & Edward Baca.
