Mary Martha Parrack

Mary Martha (Parker) Parrack, 61, of Madisonville, Texas, died on August 5, 2022 at her home while surrounded by loved ones, after a battle with cancer. A memorial service is set for 2 pm Sunday, August 14, at Madisonville Christian Fellowship, with a prior private family burial.

Mary Martha was born on June 9, 1961 to Tommy Parker, Sr and Linda (Baker) Westmoreland. She attended school in Madisonville, where she graduated in 1979. Mary Martha attended Sam Houston State University where she earned a Bachelor degree in Fashion Merchandising in 1983.

Mary Martha never met a stranger. She loved people. Her door was always open for a cup of coffee or a glass of sweet tea along with some good conversation. She was the friend that everybody wished they had or the friend that you were so grateful to have in your life. Mary Martha made everything fun and exciting! She smiled, laughed and enjoyed life to the fullest. If you couldn’t find Mary Martha, you could bet your last dollar that she had slipped off to Louisiana to find that winning slot machine!

Mary Martha excelled in everything she did. She continued The Apple Tree Florist after her mother passed away. At one time, she and her husband had a restaurant, Toots and Bodine’s, where she was able to show her love of serving people. Mary Martha’s gift was hospitality.

She married the man of her dreams, Kevin, in 1986. They had 3 handsome sons. Mary Martha’s most important job was to raise nice, Christian men…and that she did. She was the proudest Big Momma around. She doted on her grands every chance she got, which was often because they loved being with her. The only thing she loved more than her family was our Lord and Savior. Mary Martha loved studying the Bible, talking about the Bible and turning others to seek God. It thrilled her to go to a revival, a women’s conference or anywhere to praise the Lord! She hosted a Women’s Bible study on Monday nights and served in several ministries year round. The best way she wanted to be remembered by her grandchildren was “the Big Momma that read the bible to them every night”. Mary Martha will be missed by so many but her family rejoices knowing she is healed and with our Almighty Father.

Mary Martha was preceded in death by her parents; maternal grandparents Jim and Willie Lee Baker; father-in-law, Jim Parrack.

Survivors include her husband, Kevin Karl Parrack, Sr; sons, Kevin Karl Parrack, Jr. (Michele), James Andrew Parrack, all of Madisonville; and Samuel Wright Parrack (Landry), of Huntsville, and grandchildren, James Asher Parrack, Eli Wright Parrack, Linda Olivia Parrack and Lily James Parrack, all of Madisonville; nieces and nephews Jena Stewart, Garrett Parker, Jim Parrack (Hayley), Erin Eggers (Garett), Jordan Lipsey, and Madison Lipsey. Mary Martha is also survived by her sweet friend, Jaina Wakefield, of Huntsville.
