Michael was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Lawrence Dotson of Orange, Texas.
He is survived by his mother, Peggy Bunch Dotson Miller of Montgomery, Texas; sons, Cread Lawrence Dotson and Cade Lawrence Dotson; mother of his sons, Sheila Massey Dotson, all of Smetana, Texas; half brother and sister, Daniel Dotson and Misti Dotson and their mother, Diane Dotson, all of Orange, Texas; aunt, Patricia Bunch of Orange, Texas; uncle, Newton Bunch of Trinity, Texas; cousins, Sharla Latiolais of Trinity, Texas and Donna Vee Russo of Alto, Texas.
