Born on May 14, 1959 in Bryan, Texas, Michael lived a life marked by dedication,integrity, and love for his family. As a young man, he earned the rank of Eagle Scout, an achievement that reflected the character, perseverance, and leadership he would demonstrate throughout his life. He graduated from Texas A&M University in 1982 with a degree in Civil Engineering and soon thereafter earned his Professional Engineer certification. Throughout his distinguished career, Michael helped numerous Texas
communities improve and expand their infrastructure, leaving a lasting impact on the people and places he served.
Prior to retirement in 2015, Michael played a key role in the growth of Kimley-Horn,successfully opening and managing the firm’s College Station office.
After retiring, he chose to devote more of his time to the people and pursuits he cherished most, while continuing to share his expertise through service on several boards of directors.
Above all else, Michael was devoted to his wife, Mary Carolyn Boswell Moore. Their relationship of more than forty years was a testament to enduring love, partnership, and friendship. He remained deeply in love with Mary C throughout their life together, and she was the center of his world.
Michael is survived by his beloved wife, Mary C Moore of College Station; his sister and brother-in-law Lisa and Khaled Shaaban of Houston; his sister, Randa Elizabeth Moore of College Station; and his brothers, Patrick Alastair, Alexander Ribere, and Philip
Benjamin of Houston. He is also survived by nine nieces, six nephews, five grandnieces, and five grandnephews, all of whom brought him great pride and joy.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Michael Moore; his mother, Randa Louise Kunzman Moore; his sisters, Gina B Howard and Laura Jean Juracka; and his brother, William Timothy Moore.
Michael will be remembered for his unwavering devotion to those he loved, his generosity, intelligence, and professionalism. His legacy lives on through his family, the communities he helped build, and the many lives he touched throughout his remarkable Life.
Services for Michael will be held at Memorial Funeral Chapel of Bryan (located at 1515 S College Ave, Bryan Tx, 77801) on Friday, June 19, 2026. Visitation will begin at 12pm, followed by a memorial service at 1pm, with burial to follow at College Station City Cemetery after the service.
Donations may be made in Michael’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association or to a favorite dementia organization of your choice honoring his devotion and love for MaryC.
