

Funeral service will be held 11am Friday, May 1 at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan. Visitation will be held 9am until the time of service. Interment will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
Mike was preceded by his siblings and mother, Lena Church, and father, Frank Paul Patranella.
He is survived by his sister, Frances Catalena, loving wife, Lenora Patranella, daughter, Janet McVey and family Joe McVey, Shawn Dubois, Hayden Dubois and Carley Dubois.
Mike was born on May 9, 1927. He was the youngest of 13 children and lived to be the oldest male of the Patranella family. He entered in to the US Army at age 18 and honorably discharged in 1947. He was an active member of The Knights of Columbus, American Legion, St. Anthony Golden Years and Men’s Club, the VFW and was employed 25 years with Fort Bend ISD.
One of Mike and Lenora’s fondest memories was their trip to Rome which connected them to family and heritage. One of his biggest accomplishments in life was owning his own Sinclair/ARCO station in Stafford, TX. During his past time he loved hunting, fishing, gardening and cutting the grass. When asked by his great-granddaughter to share a few words of wisdom for life he shared: 1)Take care of yourself 2) Be kind hearted 3) Appreciate others 4) Love All. His best friend was a four legged buddy named “Sprint” who could always bring a smile to his face.
We thank all the family and friends who were a valuable part of his life.
