Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 14 at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan with Rev. Henry Stovall officiating. Interment will follow at Bryan City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Nora was born September 4, 1929 in Franklin to Lee and Lenora Thorpe Moore. She was a homemaker for many years then worked in the nursing field. She loved to watch baseball games, especially the Texas Rangers and the Atlanta Braves. Nora also loved planting and growing flowers in her garden and flower beds. She liked working jigsaw puzzles, reading, crocheting and enjoyed making any kinds of crafts.
Nora is preceded in death by her parents; sons, Jimmy and Johnny Baker; sisters, Virginia Hickman, Maxine Deboard, Lucille Moore and Marie Liles; brothers, Howard, Clifford and William Jr. Moore; son-in-law, Kenneth Munsey.
She is survived by her children, Cathy Munsey of College Station, Pat Nichols and husband Robert of Bryan, Lonnie Baker of Corsicana, Vicky Scheffler of Bryan, Glenda Hargrave and husband James of Magnolia, Linda Nutt and husband Dwain of La Porte; daughter-in-law, Janie Baker of Maurice, LA.; sisters, Dean Lewis of Rockdale, Bonnie Dickey and husband Ray of College Station, Mae Sutcliffe and husband Harry of Eureka Springs, AR., Hilda Awalt of Wortham; 17 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and one on the way and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
