

Pamela K. Watson Leyerle, entered into rest on October 24, 2010. A Memorial Service will be held at the First Baptist Church The Colony at 10:00 a.m. on October 27. Pam will be laid to rest in Bryan, TX, with a graveside service at 2:00 p.m., October 28 at Rest-Ever Cemetery located on highway 6 at 5103 N. Texas Ave. Bryan, TX 75803.
Pam was born in Dallas, Texas on June 7, 1955, to Walter and Peggy Munday. Pam’s mother passed away shortly after childbirth and she was adopted by J.C. and Ruby Watson of Bryan, TX. She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Bryan, where she came to know Christ as her Lord and Savior and was baptized. Pam attended Texas A&M University and graduated from Columbia Business College with a diploma in Business Administration.
She met and fell in love with her soul mate, Wally Leyerle in 1973, and they were married on June 22, 1974. They moved to South Carolina where Pam worked for GMAC and taught youth in Sunday school at Rosewood Baptist Church.
Pam and Wally returned to Texas in 1978, and settled in The Colony. She was a member of Royal Oaks Baptist church and taught children’s Sunday school and worked in the Women’s ministry. In the early 1980s, Pam and Wally joined First Baptist Church in The Colony, where they initially taught adult Sunday school and later in the youth department. Pam held several positions over the years, most recently with People to People Ministries where she served in the Accounting Department and as a call screener for a daily radio broadcast.
Pam was preceded in death by her mother and father Walter and Peggy Munday, her adoptive Father J.C. Watson and her adoptive brother Robert Watson. In addition to her loving husband, Wally, Pam is survived by her mother Ruby Watson of Bryan, TX; her sister Betty Canales of Grand Prairie, TX; her daughter and son-in-law Rachel and John Heathington of Lewisville, TX; her daughter and son-in-law Erin and Thadius Beavers of Plano, TX, and her grandson Nicholas Mayes with his parents Lance and Jeanie Mayes of San Antonio, TX; and a host of extended family and friends.
