It is with great sadness that the family of Patricia Ann Nemec announce her passing on February 12, 2021 at 80 years old. Patricia was born in Burleson County on February 17, 1940.

She was married to the love of her life Frankie J. Nemec at the age of 16 in May of 1956. The two enjoyed spending time at the river, traveling with friends, and tearing it up on the SPJST dance floor.

Pat was always extremely family centric as her whole life circled her children and grandchildren. She always found an excuse to plan a gathering; whether it be a 4th of July fish fry or her notorious New Year’s Eve parties.

In her later life, Pat enjoyed every Wednesday evening at the local Smetana store to scratch lottery tickets with friends. She traveled the country, often with friends and her daughter Beverley. Pat visited New Mexico, Colorado, and Las Vegas sparking her love for Elvis.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children David and Beverley, grandchildren Charissa, Brian, Britany, and Brandon, great grandchildren Jaci, Addison, Parker, Dillyn, Brandon, and Zoey, and her many nieces and nephews. She will also be dearly missed by all of her friends from the Smetana community.

A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, February 21, 2021 at 1:00pm at Memorial Funeral Chapel Bryan. Burial will follow at Old Smetana Cemetery.

Until we see you again Meno, “We love you a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck.”

Pat was our neighbor and friend for many many years. We loved visiting with her and having a good cold beer on Fridays and any other day we got the chance. We have missed her since she became ill and will forever cherish all our good times together. Pat has earned her wings; fly high sweet friend and please ride on the shoulders of your Smetana friends so you can keep us out of trouble!

Always loved to gather with Meno for Founder's Day or come out to the little log cabin that she really liked or any outing and share a beer or two or ..... She was fun to be with and I know will truly be missed. She is now in God's hands and at peace. Love, Kim & Curtis
