

Robert H. Conaway, 72, a lifelong Bryan resident, passed away Thursday, July 24, 2025. Born in Bryan, Texas on June 16, 1953, he was the son of the late Robert Henry Conaway, Sr. and Josephine Skrabanek Conaway.
After graduating from high school, Robert became a licensed plumber. He later became the owner and operator of Progress Supply which he ran for many years. He had been a director at the former First National Bank for many years. Robert was proud of his local heritage and always considered himself a rancher by vocation. He loved the outdoors and could often be seen riding around his property with his dog by his side. He was a football fan, and also an avid NASCAR fan.
He is survived by his wife and partner in life for 17 years, Marjorie Krause Conaway; his children, Robert H. Conaway III, Jerry Conaway, Kimberley Conaway Garcia, Stephen Chambers, and Jason Chambers; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as, extended family members and friends.
A visitation for Robert will be held Thursday, July 31, 2025 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan. Robert's funeral service will be Friday, August 1, 2025 at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Monsignor John McCaffrey and John Krause officiating. Interment will follow at Reliance Cemetery, Bryan.
Robert's pallbearers will include Mark Jones, Matt Collier, Harry Krause, Bernard Krause, Patrick Krause, and Stephen Chambers. Honorary pallbearers will be, Robert H. Conaway III, Jerry Conaway, Kimberly Conaway Garcia, and Tyler Conaway.
