He played football for the Bryan Vikings, and ranked top 50 foosball player in the nation during his seasons in high school. He was called "Coach" by the Little League Football teams he helped coach. Robert was an avid fisherman.
He enjoyed going to the moves with his nephew, Sean and his sister. The highlight of his life was meeting in person his three grandchildren.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Ascension and Amelia Escobar; brother, Thomas; and brother-in-law, Carlos Ayala Sr.
He is survived by his sons, Eric and Robby and his wife Sarah; grandchildren, Evelyn, Ezekiel and Grace; brothers, Victor and Ruben Escobar; sisters, Irene Branderhorst and Irma Ayala; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Rest in Peace brother, till we meet again.
Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
