Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 26 at Santa Teresa Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 6 – 8 p.m. with a 6:30 p.m. Rosary service at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan.
Roberto was born July 6, 1957 in China, Nuevo Leon, Mexico the son of Atanacio and Trinidad (Vasquez) Villarreal. He retired from Texas A&M University after 19 years of service: before that he worked as a mechanic and truck driver for many years. Roberto made himself available to lend a helping hand for fundraisers, he enjoyed barbequing and he could make you laugh in the first minute you met him. Roberto was a member of Santa Teresa Catholic Church and Santo Nombre. Most of all he will be remembered for the love he showed for his family, wife and especially his grandchildren.
Roberto is preceded in death by his parents; and his sisters, Estelle, Santos and Paula Villarreal Vasquez.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Annie Villarreal; sons and daughters-in-law, Carlos and Sally Medina, Fred Anthony and Angie Medina, Robbie and Renee Medina; daughter and son-in-law, Irma and Lupe Pineda; adopted son, Clinton “Chento” Johnson; brothers, Andres, Rolando, Lupe and Atanacio Villarreal Vasquez; sisters, Adela and Maria DeLaLuz Villarreal Vasquez; grandchildren, Carlos Renee Medina, Randy Pineda and wife Jackie, Gabriel Noah Medina, Michael David Medina and fiancé Lauren Montalbano, Bobby Medina and wife Marysol, Alyssa Aryn Ramirez and husband Marcos, Alex Medina, Mary Medina, Brandie Medina , Ryan Pineda and Abby Medina; great-grandchildren, Austin Medina, Stella Pineda, Margo Pineda, Ruthie Medina and Zoey Bormann; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
