

Rosie married Guadalupe Moncivais in 1952, and they were married for 64 years before his passing in 2016. Rosie was a proud member of Santa Teresa Catholic Church where she was involved in the Hijas de Maria and Guadalupanas. Rosie loved to cook for people, and you could find her at the Puesto on Sundays after church serving her famous menudo and caldo de rez. She also loved hosting the posadas during the holidays and would have the whole neighborhood involved.
Rosie was a caregiver at heart, she was kind to everyone. She was always willing to help anyone in need and was there for everyone. She had a great sense of humor and to know her was to love her!
Most dear to her and her husband, Lupe was family. Her children,grandchildren,great grandchildren and great great grandchildren were the joy of her life. She loved family get togethers and playing loteria .
Survivors include her children: Rosario Carlos (Pedro), Lupe Orta (Raymond), Janie McClendon (Jimmy), Joe Moncivais (Cindy), Elsa Contreras (Arnulfo); all of Bryan.Nineteen grandchildren; thirty-three great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.
Rosie is preceded in death by her husband Guadalupe Moncivais, her parents, siblings: Geneva Martinez and Lorenzo Alonzo and her son Albert Moncivais.

A visitation for Rosie will be held Thursday, January 23, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan with a rosary recited at 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at Friday, January 24, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Santa Teresa Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
