Rudy Hernandez Sr.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at a later date at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan.

Rudy was born January 13, 1952 in Hearne, Texas the son of Simon and Katherine (Rios) Hernandez. Rudy was employed with Sam’s Club in College Station where he was an inventory auditor. He was a member of Brazos Fellowship Church where he volunteered for many church activities; he also enjoyed volunteering his time at Henderson Elementary School. He loved fishing, playing dominos, listening to Tejano music and barbequing for his family, especially for the holidays.

Rudy is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

He is survived by his wife, Sarah Gonzales; children, Crystal Adame and husband John, Melody Almaraz and husband Jose, Rudy Hernandez, Jr., Michael Hernandez and wife Monica, Christian Hernandez, Camron Hernandez, Colton Hernandez and Conner Hernandez; brothers and sisters, David Hernandez, Mary Bates, Simon Hernandez, Josephine Hernandez, Robert Hernandez, Mary Ann Witherspoon and Roger Hernandez; seventeen grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
