Rudy was born February 7, 1953 in Hearne, the son of Esequiel and Bessie (Rivera) Tamez. He served in the United States Navy and received the National Defense Service Medal. Rudy was a mechanic and motorcycle enthusiast. He also enjoyed watching Nascar.
He was preceded in death by his father, Esequiel A. Tamez, Sr.
Survivors include his mother, Bessie Rivera Tamez; a daughter, April Montelongo & her husband A.J.; sister, Gloria Lea & her husband Glenn; brother, Robert Tamez from Hearne; and a grandson, Xavier Judy.
The family is planning a private celebration of Rudy’s life.
