William "Bo" Richards

William "Bo" Richards, born on October 4, 1967, in Bryan, Texas, passed away surrounded by loved ones on March 14, 2025, after a short battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease). He was the beloved son of Jimmy Don and Ola Mae "Judy" Richards.

Bo married Christina Sexton on February 23, 1989, in Longview, Texas. Together, they called Bryan, Texas, their home for most of their lives, raising their daughter Amber Sexton and son Joshua Richards. Bo retired from Texas A&M University as a Facilities Coordinator with 30 years of service. He was a jack of all trades and was always more than happy to help friends and family.

Bo had a passion for BBQ and loved spending time outdoors, camping, and fishing with friends on the weekends. He cherished spoiling and spending time with his two grandsons, Carter and Jase.

Bo was a dedicated member of Brazos Valley Cowboy Church. He was known for his “Cowboy” coffee and willingness to serve in many areas within the church.

Bo was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Don Richards; mother, Ola Mae "Judy" (Pence) Richards; and grandparents, Lucile (Neeley) and Alvin Richards, and John William and Florene (Pence) McGuire.

Bo is survived by his wife, Christina (Sexton) Richards; daughter, Amber Sexton; son, Joshua Richards and his wife, Lacey; grandsons, Carter and Jase Richards; sister, Tina Richards and Brian Carey; and multiple nieces and nephews.

Bo's journey through life was marked by his warm heart, infectious laughter, and unwavering dedication to his family and friends. He will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and the joy he brought to those around him.

The family would like to thank Hospice Brazos Valley and the Alexander family for their support during Bo’s battle with ALS.

A visitation for Bo will be held Tuesday, March 18, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan. A funeral service is set for Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Chapel with a burial to follow at Plainview Cemetery in Normangee, TX.
