I was saddened by Poppy's passing. We worked together many years ago at Millard Fillmore, but my memories of her have never faded. She was like a mother to all of the "kids" that worked with her, and I'll never forget her booming voice, rosy cheeks, and warm hugs. May she find peace in the arms of Our Lord.

My sincere condolences to you and your family. Poppy was the first resident i met when I started working at lakewood, and she will be with me for the rest of my life. She brought many of us joy and laughter and gave me a lot of great life advice. She always told me to have faith. I'll never forget the day i painted her nails and put makeup on her and she said she felt like a movie star. I took photos that day and will get them to you asap. I am so completely happy that I got to meet your mother in my lifetime. She will always be my "greek grandma," as she said. May God bless you and your family and give you comfort and peace.

Although we have only known "Poppy" for the last couple of years, she became family to us. We spent afternoons laughing and spending quality time with her that not only made her day, but ours as well. We will never forget you and feel very privileged that you entered our lives. May you rest in peace with the Lord and your family. Let it be known that you will forever share a piece of our hearts, until hopefully we will someday meet again.

My Dearest Children, the passing of your Yiayia, so sad but yet another stepping stone in life. I pray for her today as I always did. May god bless her, grant her eternal life. May she dance again and be at peace, god rest her soul... Your father is lucky to have his children, so he knows he will never be alone. God bless you all.. Love ..mama P

My sympathy in the passing of your mother, Lou. How life presents itself sometimes can be interesting.....seeing you at Fran Murphy's, a few weeks ago, after so many years, and now, the death of your mother. Two crossings that reflect on a brief, yet meaningful encounter we experienced at Medaille.

I worked with Poppy at Millard Fillmore Hospital. She was a bright spot in the day, every day! Heartfelt sympathies to her family, she was so very special.
