Mom, you are forever in our hearts, thoughts, and memories.  As each day begins you are in my family's prayers.  Thank you for giving me life, which also allowed the life of my son, C.K.  He remembers you and feels the loss of your love.  Give us the strength to carry on.  We will love you forever.

Momma, as time rolls slowly by, I realize that time doesn't heal all wounds. My heart floods with memories of past experience and precious moments spent as the shock and dis-belief of your passing fades into reality. With each passing day comes a new memory that brings both happiness and sadness that can't be explained in words. Today I remembered songs from Willie Nelson that you enjoyed so much. The one that stuck out the most was "You Were Always on My Mind." While it isn't a song that is about the relationship between a mother and son, it made me weep and long for your reassuring hug and feeling that everything was going to be "ok." The verse in particular that struck a cord, "little things I should of said and done, I just never took the time..but you were always on my mind, you were always on my mind."  

I guess there are always things you wish you said and time you wish you spent, but that doesn't make it any easier. 

You are always on my mind, Momma, no matter what I am going through in life, now and forever.

Psalms 34:18 reminds us that God "is near to those that are broken at heart". May knowing that God understands your pain help you.

My dear brother,

I have no words that can fully express the depth of my emotion at the loss of your dear Caroline.  Times spent with  you both have been short and far in between due to the long distance (geographically) between us over the years and yet I always felt a closeness with your Caroline.  She was like that, instantly warm and ready to be your friend.  We owe her much for the happiness she brought to you. It will be wonderful when we all meet up in heaven where time and distance will not exist.  Until then may God, the Holy Comforter, be very close to you.

Thanks ever so much for the kind words and thoughts expressed by all, which will be remembered forever. The viewing has passed, the Mass completed, and the internment finished.

I wish to share a poem:

God saw she was getting tired,
and a cure was not to be,
so he put his arms around her and 
whispered "Come with me."
With teary eyes we watched her fade away, 
and though we loved 
her dearly we could 
not make her stay
A golden heart has stopped beating
Hard working hands are at rest
God broke our hearts to prove
God only takes the best.

My better part has left me, and now I readjust to living alone with those significant memories to carry me through each day. I love her so much. 
It has been an honor to have shared our lives together. 

She loved her Lord and loved to teach religious education at our parish. As a tribute many of her students attended the Mass and several served in her honor. 

What an honor and privilege to have shared a part of my life with such a fine, wonderful woman, wife, mother, grandmother and Christian teacher.

Caroline I love you always so much and I will miss you forever, until we meet again in heaven.
