

Karen Ann Martin, age 69, of Bullhead City, Arizona passed away on Friday, February 9, 2024.Karen recently passed away after a brief illness. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Paul, her daughter Allison, her husband and 3 children, her son Wesley, his wife and one child.
Karen had a sense of adventure and enjoyed various careers over the years. While a young adult in Michigan, she worked at the local hospital as a Candy Striper and Nurses Aide. She enjoyed her time assisting the elderly and newborn babies. Paul and Karen relocated to Southern California in 1978 where she truly developed her sense of adventure. Karen achieved a commercial pilot’s license for hot-air balloons and gave instructional lessons. She even had a brief stint with Disney as co-pilot of a small blimp used in a promotional event at the theme park. Some of the more unique jobs she held include: Installed and repaired flagpoles, helicopter pilot lessons, shuttle driver for a helicopter tour company on Maui, floral artist and commercial truck driver for Schneider.
It was in 2000 that Paul and Karen made their final move to Bullhead City, Arizona. Karen spent most of her time caring for her aging mother. The two were very close and had fun on their outings together. Karen spent some time as the Activities Director at a senior living community, where she ensured the residents had a blast at events and while out on local tours.
Karen was most proud of her family, loving them with all that she had. Her greatest role was that of “Tutu” to her Keikis. She also held a special place in her heart for her beloved pets over the years. She truly was a lover of animals.
Karen will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends. Her famous farewell to family, “Aloooooha!”
