Danny Bob Masoner

Danny Bob Masoner, age 62, of Whitesburg, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 19, 2012 at James H. Quillen Medical Center. He was a loving husband, brother, brother-in-law, and uncle. He always greeted everyone with a smile and hug. And would tell them he loved them. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ivan and Christine Masoner; brothers, Carl, Rex, and Guy Masoner; and sisters, Jewell Wanda Masoner and Frances Schmeling. Survivors include his wife, Sharon Masoner; brothers and sisters-in-law, W. I. and Tena Masoner, and Steward and Judy Masoner of Alabama; sister, Katherine Sather of Illinois; sisters and brothers-in-law, Arjorie and Frank Atkins, Marjorie and Lucky Stubblefield; special aunt, Betty Frye; and several special nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2012 at Brown Springs Baptist Church in Mosheim at 2:00 p.m. with Reverends Eddie Blazer and Richard Long officiating. Military honors will be provided by VFW Post #9683. Pallbearers will be Tim Frye, Dennis Frye, Josh Frye, Timmy Frye Jr., Ricky Swatzell, Scottie McGhee, Joe Tarlton, and Andy Tarlton. The family will receive friends from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Bulls Gap Funeral Home. Arrangements are by Bulls Gap Funeral Home.
