Gladys Margaret Greene Long

Our precious mother, Gladys Margaret Greene Long, age 82 of Bean Station, passed away on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at Morristown Hamblen Healthcare System. She was a member of Adriel Baptist Church. She was such a kind and Loving person who always had an extra plate at the table and made everyone who came by feel welcome in her home. Even in her worst hours, her thoughts were always for others. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband; Walter Long Jr, parents; Stokley and Maggie Greene, brothers; Stanley, Guy and Stokley Jr Greene and sisters; Faye Russell and Rosie Lipe. She is survived by her children; Nancy Trent, Janice Hawkins, Michael Long and wife Pat, Marilyn Yount and David Long, sisters; Maurine Dyer, Janie Collins, Ina Jean Moore and Barbara Ailey, sisters-in-law; Ruth Walter and Mildred Cox, brother-in-law; James Long, 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 7, 2010 in the chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home with the Rev. Dennis Johnson, Rev. Scott Greene and Rev. Tim Collins officiating. Family and friends will meet at 1:50 p.m. on Friday, October 8 in Long- Berry Cemetery in Bulls Gap, TN for a 2:00 p.m. graveside service. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 7 from 6 to 8 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Arrangements by Stubblefield Funeral Home in Morristown, Tennessee.
