Sam William Susong

Sam William Susong, age 81, of Mohawk,

went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 17, 2012.

\He was retired from Hale Brothers.

He was preceded in death by his mother,

Lizzie Mae Mathis; father, Charlie Ray Susong;

son, William Junior Susong; great-grandchild, Dale Allen Susong;

brother, Charles Henry Susong; and sister, Dorthey Susong Wilder.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Shirley Jean Gulley Susong;

children, Gracie and C. E. Turner of Mohawk, Margie and

Larry Dalton of Morristown, Betty and Buddy Brotherton of Morristown,

Ray Susong of Morristown, Susan and C. R. Minor of Russellville,

Evelyn Swatzell and Lee Denton of Morristown,

Jerry Susong of Morristown, Priscilla Kay Swatzell and

Herman Brotherton of Morristown; grandchildren, Crystal Holman,

Brittney Majeroni, Faye Helton, Corey Susong, Daniel Susong,

Jeanie Swatzell, Samuel Swatzell, Joey Presutti, Victoria Presutti,

William Susong, James Susong, Carla Swatzell, and Brad Swatzell;

great-grandchildren, Lukess Holman, Marley Majeroni, Parker Helton,

Kaylee Hazeltine, Tylor Adams, Daniel Swatzell; special friends,

Fernando Hale and Johnny and Peggy Stroud; and several nieces,

nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Bulls Gap Funeral Home

on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at 8:00 p.m. with Rev. David Jones and

Rev. Kevin Wisecarver officiating. Family and friends will meet at 1:45 p.m.

on Sunday in Wright Cemetery for a 2:00 p.m. graveside service.

Pallbearers will be Larry Dalton, Buddy Brotherton, C. R. Minor,

Johnny Stroud, Eric Helton, Herman Brotherton, Lee Denton, and C. E. Turner.

The family will receive friends from 6 – 8:00 p.m.

on Saturday at the funeral home.
