Mrs. Verda Mattielee Wells

Verda Mattielee Moore Wells, age 71, of Black Mountain, NC, formerly of Bulls Gap, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 3, 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Wells; parents, Homer and Marie Moore; brother, Curtis Moore; and infant son, David Wells.Survivors include children, Teresa Craig, Karen Cowan, and Virginia Jones; grandchildren, Miranda Pack, Janaica Kagley, Hali Cowan, Lindsey (Josh) Wilson, and Brandon Cowan; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Jean Brigman and Jesse McCade Keeslar; brother, Bill (Kristine) Moore; and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 7, 2010 in the chapel of Bulls Gap Funeral Home with Rev. John Arnott officiating. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home on Friday morning at 10:15 a.m. to go in procession to Bent Creek Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday prior to the services. Arrangements are by Bulls Gap Funeral Home.
