

Bud was born on June 28, 1945 in Sacramento California. He was the oldest child of George and Marie Steele’s three children and the big brother to his younger sisters, Terry Ann and Cathy Sue Steele.
As a young boy his family lived in Richmond and Santa Maria California before moving south to the San Fernando Valley. The family settled in Sunland where they enjoyed riding their horses and the family participated in various rodeo events. In addition, the family spent time at Clear Lake fishing and playing on the water. Bud played baseball and football in high school and he graduated from John H. Francis Polytechnic High School in 1963.
After high school Bud worked at what was formerly known as St. Joseph’s Hospital in Burbank. It was there where he met a young Laboratory Receptionist Tina Belkiewicz. After dating for 2 ½ years, they were married at St. Finbar Catholic Church on January 21, 1967.
The young couple settled down in Burbank and had two daughters; Wendy Dianne and Tammy Lee Steele. As a family they enjoyed camping, boating and fishing together.
Bud worked at Glendale Saw before starting his 36 year career at Universal Studios. His union card listed him as a ‘Propmaker’, but he was in charge of the tool room and maintaining the machinery in the mill. He made many friends there along the way and finally retired on August 30, 2013.
Bud is survived by his wife Christine (Tina) Steele of Burbank. Daughter, Wendy and husband, Ivy Calvin of Acton; Daughter, Tammy Steele of Burbank; Grandsons Ivy and Isaiah Calvin and his sister Cathy Cristobal of Seaside.
Bud is predeceased by his parents George and Marie Steele and his sister Terry Wirsching.
Services will be held at St. Robert Bellarmine Church in Burbank, California on Tuesday, April 8th. The rosary will start at 10:00 and the mass will follow at 10:30.
