

He was born on April 9, 1981at University of Washinton Hospital in Seattle, WA to his parents Theresa and Monte DeCottle.
Damien was the youngest of three. He spent his early years in Everett, WA and later attended Thomas Jefferson High School in Federal Way where he served as FHA/HERO Director of Community Service for Washington State and a member of the KUBE 93 dance team. He graduated in 2000.
He continued to share his love of dance with others as a free-lance dance instructor. In 2002 he moved to Los Angeles and fell in love with the city. He kept his love of dance alive by taking dance classes at the Millennium Dance Studio where he met many of Janet Jackson’s dancers. He went on to spend many years working as head of security at the EchoPlex, Little Joy and The Short Stop where he made friends and great memories along the way. He loved dancing, camping, traveling, drives to Malibu and down Mulholland Drive, spending time with family, his cats and JANET JACKSON.
Damien is survived by his parents, Theresa and Monte DeCottle; stepmother, Melody DeCottle; siblings Karla and Enjoli DeCottle; niece Lauryn DeCottle; nephew Demario Coleman; great nephew and niece Daniel and Charlene Coleman; Grandmother Thelma Sue Ard; brother in law Aaron (Airbear); his cats Storm, Chase and Bruce Wayne in addition to many Aunts, Uncles, cousins and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be planned for the near future in Los Angeles.
