Hulda “Frances” Shrock, age 94, of Burbank, California passed away at home Saturday evening, January 4, 2025. She was born in a little house on the prairie in Waldheim, Saskatchewan, Canada on September 5, 1930, to her parents Frank W. Reinke, and Helena Penner-Reinke. She was their fifth child out of seven with three older sisters: Helen, Tina, and Mary, and one younger one: Lorena. There is also one older brother Rudy, and one younger brother Peter. The family moved westward subsequently establishing themselves into British Columbia as the children grew into adults establishing wonderful families of their own by the grace of God. Frances met her future husband Harlos Shrock in Newton, Kansas where they both were working at Prarieview Hospital. They married in 1960, settling in Los Angeles with their son Lyle born on her birthday in 1963. She eventually became a nurse upgrading from an LVN to an RN in the 1980’s after graduating from LA Valley College. After 64 years of marriage together, Frances became a widow last April. She is survived and is sorely missed by many friends and relatives of her husband’s, and her siblings’ family members which include her two brothers and youngest sister; and her only son, Lyle, (married to Elizabeth) with three grandchildren: Jennifer, Sarah (married to Andrew Rosenthal), and Kevin, and one great grandchild: Oliver.
