Lucille left our earthly world on August 18, 2015. She was a very young 98 years old and passed peacefully of natural causes at the Villa Scalabrini Special Care Unit in Sun Valley California. She was preceded in death by her husband Harry G. Fewless and two sons, Dennis Fewless and Michael Fewless. She is survived by her remaining six children: Thomas Fewless, Madonna Jordan, Sheila Richman, Merry Robideau, Virginia Fewless and Gregory Fewless. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren, whom she loved and treasured very much.
Lucille was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She was the youngest of four children born to Frank and Helen Blaszak. She married her beloved husband, Harry Fewless in 1937, they moved to California and made their home in Burbank.
In addition to raising her family of eight children, Lucille was very active in her community. She became an instrumental and invaluable member of her church: first St. Charles in North Hollywood and then St Francis Xavier in Burbank. She was a very active member in Providence St. Josephs Hospital Guild and donated countless hours. She had also donated time at Heart of the Nation and taught reading and religious programs to children.
Lucille was a spiritual inspiration to most people she came in contact with. She was loving, thoughtful, considerate and kind. She had a beautiful spirit and a great sense of humor even on her last day. Although we are happy for her she will be greatly missed by all.
