She was born on May 27th, 1935 in Beechwoods, PA, to the late William Ronald and Mildred (Bovaird) Stewart.
Peggy was a graduate of Brockway High School and The Clearfield Hospital School of Nursing. She subsequently moved to Philadelphia and worked as an RN until she met and married Samuel Schellenger.
Peggy lived a long and adventurous life. She traveled, volunteered, and had many friends. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Burbank, CA.
She is survived by 5 children, Samuel Jr. of Mossyrock, WA, Alexander (Connie) of Calistoga, CA, Matthew (Jolene) of Burbank, CA, Elizabeth Patton of West Hills, CA and Ralph (Karin) of Spring City, PA, 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and a brother William Stewart (Nancy) of DuBois, PA.
Peggy was preceded in death by her brothers Patrick and John and also by her husband Sam in 1996.
A small memorial service for family will be held at the home of her granddaughter in West Hills, CA on January 9th.
