Mariano Lorenzo “Alo” Macaisa was a loving husband, devoted father, and faithful friend to all. He departed this world to bask in the Lord’s embrace on Thursday, October 6th, 2022 after sustaining a stroke.
To those who knew him best, Alo’s 60 years on this earth was not nearly enough, but his afterglow is bright enough to span centuries. Born in New York in 1962, Alo was primarily raised in a suburb of Manila before moving to California at the age of 20. There, he eventually married the love of his life Jessica on December 23, 1995. Together they parented 2 children: Jeric and Matthew.
In his professional life, Alo flourished in every endeavor, including such distinguished companies as IBM, Disney, and the National Notary Association. Aligning with his passions, he also helped people find their longevity in fitness as a cycling instructor for __ years.
Alo brought warmth to every gathering with a personality that could best be described as having ‘unbreakable energy’. His passion is felt through all of his interests, from his enduring love of sports, namely: the San Francisco 49ers, the Los Angeles Lakers and the Los Angeles Dodgers, to his affinity for physical fitness, to his love for good humor and spending time with his loved ones. He had a zest for life that could always be felt in his presence and heard in his boisterous laughter.
Although he will be incredibly missed, Alo was a man of total selflessness. As an organ donor, he will continue to live on through the many people who were impacted by his giving, including his older brother Robert who was fortunate enough to receive his kidney. Alo is survived by his wife, children, mother, sisters, brothers, nephews, and nieces.
