Mary Carol Wollmann
December 25, 1938 – October 12, 2017
Mary Carol (Beres) Wollmann passed on to her heavenly home in the arms of Jesus October 12, 2017 at her home in Burbank, CA under Hospice care and surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on Dec. 25, 1938 in Montreal, WI, daughter of the late Rudy and Mary (Kopacz) Beres. Carol graduated from Hurley High School with the Class of 1956. She began working in Milwaukee, WI. While living there, she met her future husband, the love of her life, Erich Wollmann. They relocated to CA and were married on May 1, 1965.
Carol worked for American Benefit Plan Administrators, Inc. in Los Angeles for over 41 years, retiring as Vice President in 2005. After her retirement, she continued to be actively involved with the Southern California Association of Benefit Plan Administrators, serving as President and just recently retiring from the Board. Carol was Catholic and an active member in various church ministries, playing the organ in her younger years and singing in the church choir. Most recently, she served as an usher at her parish church, St. Francis Xavier in Burbank. Carol thoroughly enjoyed her busy life, traveling and spending time with her beloved family, friends and acquaintances. She was truly respected and loved by many, many people.
Besides her parents, Carol was predeceased by her husband, Erich, in 1983. She is survived by her brother Rudy (Diane) Beres, Hernando, FL, her sister, Roseann (Richard) Rummel, Wabeno, WI and her brother William Beres, Montreal, WI; nieces and nephews Anne (Joel) Zupfer, Eva (Mark) Kaminski, Shelley Rummel, Paul Rummel, Michael (Heather) Rummel, Atlanta Beres, Tony (Simone) Beres, Debby (Dennis) Grube and Jill (Scott) Wester; and numerous grand nieces and nephews, as well as many, many friends.

Dear Families and Friends,
What a blessing Carol is, still making us happy and with our Lord Jesus Christ. My relationship with her was through work and I also enjoyed staying in touch with her from time to time once she retired. She was always willing to help, building up and never tearing down. Carol is truly a fruitful person and blessing from God.

Carol was a classmate at Hurley Highschool and we graduated together in 1956, over the years we connected at the class reunions and kept in touch. She was a dear friend and always a warm and caring person. To be her friend was a treasured honor and her memory will be treasured as well.

My sincere condolences to the family of Carol. She was a very sweet woman and we will miss her at St. Francis Xavier. She was generous with her time and talent at our parish. Carol became friends with my mom, JoAnn, in the past 18 months and was a good friend to her.

My sincere condolences to Carol's family. Carol was my boss at ABPA in the 1970s and remained a friend since. She was the best! We loved sharing bagels in the morning and always looked forward to the day ahead. This is a sad time for all of her family and friends but so thankful that Carol was part of our lives and made it so much better. Rest in peace dear friend.

It was with great sadness that we learned about Carols passing. Carol was one of the kindest, most caring people we knew, and always went out of her way to help friends and neighbors. Her home was a designated a safe place for my daughters when they were growing up in Burbank, they knew if they needed anything that they could always run to Carol's house. I have many cherished memories of Carol and always enjoyed seeing the yearly gift from Erich, in heaven, of some amazing piece of jewelry that he had given her.
I was honored and blessed to have known Carol and call her my friend. She was truly a blessing in our life and we will miss her. May our Lord bless and comfort the family and friends of Carol during this difficult time. Please accept our sincere condolences.

I knew Carol at ABPA in the 80s. Truth be told, she and Jackie Sattarnilasskorn (our mutual friend--gone for a number of years now) were much closer.
But I always noticed Carol's keen sense of humor and friendly manner. She will be missed.
I like to imagine Carol and Jackie are in Heaven, having fun and enjoying each other's company.

Dear Beres family, I truly share your sorrow in Carol's passing! She was always such a good friend and we always had such fun times, as our "gang" from the class of 1956 always stuck together! She attended all our reunions and looked so great all the time, with her friendly smile and her cute "ponytail "! It truly was a shock to hear of her passing, I will think of her often ! Let her memories live on......she will be missed!
