My uncle Ruben was a big brother to me. He was always around when you needed him for help , advise or get chewed out when you were in trouble. Our parents would call him and next thing you know he would show up . I have many great memories of him. He went to all of our sporting events, taught us self defense and to ride motorcycles and play softball with him. Ruben involved me in the Love Ride working back stage. I became a member of the Burbank Elks Lodge because of him, the best thing I ever did. He helped me through my dark days with support and advised me to be strong and life will be better. He always believed in helping others, it made his day. It gave him great joy. My last time I saw you was Sunday on your Harley going to the Burbank Elks Lodge to cook for the members. You waved and called me Jeu, my nickname. I love you Tio and you will be missed, RIP.

To my Uncle Ruben, you will be dearly missed by me. You were an awesome favorite Uncle, with your laughter, smiles, and jokes. As a kid growing up you were always there for us. When you would come and visit us, you always made sure we were ok. I remember as a kid we would spend the summers visiting Tio Ruben he would take us shopping with my cousins. Great Memories!! Tio Ruben always took care of us, anything we needed he was there. I Love and will always miss you so much. You will always be in my heart♥️

Uncle Ruben loved his Weslaco Panthers and always looked forward to catching a game when he came to visit 1,600 miles away in the Rio Grande Valley in Texas. I'm surely going to miss his company this season as he had planned a trip down in the coming weeks. I will save you a seat at the next ballgame uncle Ruben. Missing you here at the game tonight, Panthers currently leading at halftime 21-0 over the Edinburg Economedes Jaguars. Go Panthers Go!💜😢
