Ted and I were best friends in high school. We lived just a couple hundred yards apart. We did all kinds of crazy things together even after he met his beloved Cheryl. We used to play bumper tag with our cars...until we crashed into each other. We often went to Bob's Big Boy or Mike's Pizza and when the waitress asked him what he wanted he always said, "Whatever he's having." We were the best man in each other's wedding and I was so looking forward to our 50th-anniversary celebrations.
I truly regret not staying close throughout the years as our lives took us in different directions. My thoughts and prayers are with Cheryl and the family. My the Lord bless you all and comfort you as only He can.
My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
