It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Alan Lam Hak Hoi on April 10, 2026, at Burnaby Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 51. Born on November 7, 1974, in Hong Kong, Alan was a beloved son, husband, father, brother and friend known for his infectious smile, humble nature, and professional success as a plumbing engineer.
Alan is survived by his wife, Wing Yan; his children, Ian and Hayley; his parents, David and Lilian Lam; and his sisters, Anita (Karl) Lin and their children, Ewan and Isabelle; and Becky (Derick) Pang and their children, Kayley and Nathan. He will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his lifelong friendships, and the respect he showed everyone he encountered.
A service will be held at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 3789 Royal Oak Avenue, at 10:00am on Sunday, April 26, 2026.
