So sorry to hear of Al's passing. Lots of great memories of my cousin when he was in Winnipeg.My prayers to his family.

While I never had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Tummon, I have had the distinct priveledge of working in a department for the last 14 years that he helped build and develop.  I have heard nothing but amazing things and respect his work as a leader at London Drugs immensely.  Thank you for creating a legacy and building a department that so many people are proud to work in.  RIP Sir.

I knew Al since 1989.  He was always involved and interested in everything to do with the community and business.  A loss for us all.

Al was a consummate professional in all he did.   We had the good fortune of having him serve with us on the Metro Vancouver Crime Stoppers Board, and we thank him for his insight, experience and perspectives.   We shall miss you Al!

I was Als barber for many years and always enjoyed his stories about the old days in Winnipeg A Elmwood boy he grew up knowing a lot of hockey players from the nhl. Al always made a impression on me as being larger than life itself. RIP Al.

I had the pleasure of working with Al from 1984 until his retirement from LD. We facilitated many new employee Orientations and opened many new stores together.  Al taught me numerous things over the years, the most important lesson he didn't have to tell me as he consistently showed me .If you treat people like they make a difference they will.  Al was my mentor, my co-worker and a most cherished friend and I will be forever grateful for our time together.

Like the great jazz player and boxing aficionado he was; Al Tummon always had impeccable timing.  He had the uncanny ability of knowing precisely who, how, and when to encourage people to enter the field of Loss Prevention.  Throughout his lifetime, he provided the wisdom, mentoring and advice that helped create countless great careers for so many.

That same legendary diligence and passion was also evident in Al's approach to, in his words, the bad guys.  He was tireless in his commitment to ending the careers of those who had made the unfortunate decision to make crime and shoplifting their career choice!  

For Al it was always about helping someone to view their life through another lens; one of integrity, ethics and right choices.

With respect, Al made real contributions in his life that touched many, many more lives than you would ever imagine.  He will be missed and the world is a little bit less interesting without him in it.

RIP Al, you will be missed my friend.  You lived an amazing life, you were a great friend and have left an indelible mark on many lives.  Rest well, you have earned it!
