She was born in Hong Kong and spent her life there until she immigrated to Canada in 1986. She was the younger of two siblings. She enjoyed Chinese Opera, playing basketball, dancing and gung fu. She pursued her career in merchandising and was the Managing Director of Tesco Store HK Ltd. before she came to Canada.
Angel had been living in Burnaby since she arrived in Canada. She was exceptionally gifted in handcrafted clay flowers. She particularly cherished exhibiting her works in the annual Hong Kong Flower Show at Victoria Park. She also volunteered to teach clay flower classes at community centres and at church.
Angel was a Christian and actively participated in many church events. Inspired by her sister, she made beads pendent, “little angel” and “5 loaves 2 fish” etc. as souvenirs in support of the short term mission of the church. She was well known for her decisive, enthusiasm, commitment and caring.
Angel is pre-deceased by her loving husband Andy. Lovingly survived by her sister Alice, her daughters Amy and Eileen, and their spouse Pui and Bill, and grandchildren Anthony, Timothy and Jessica.
In lieu of flowers, the family has kindly asked for donations to be made in Angel's honor to the BC Cancer Foundation or St. Michael’s Hospice.
