Bill, it is with deepest sympathy that I am so very sorry to hear of the loss of your Mom. I will really miss her sense of humor and the great dinner table conversations we had over the years. We are all privileged for having known Anna. She was a great lady who will be missed by all of us.

I met Anna when I sat next to her in first year history at UBC some twenty years ago. What an amazing woman: smart, quick and wickedly funny. Her humour manifested in frequent side commentaries to the professor's lectures. I truly couldn't have met a better school chum, even though we were four decades apart in age. I'll always be grateful for the "real education" she provided. I'd like to imagine that she's doing the same thing wherever she is right now.

Mrs. Allman has filled my life with many
great childhood memories. She always had such a deep commitment to her family, friends and The Eastern Star. Birthdays, Halloween, Christmas' and family visits we shared hold a precious place in my heart. The spirit she had in her laugh is so endearing. Bill, when I visited your mom in September she said that you have been so good to her, you have never let her down, and that she is so proud that you are her son. Your mom has touched so many people with her wit, wisdom and love. God bless.

Love to you Bill at this time. We had so many happy years with your Mum and family, so much laughter, and genuine - it is good to see you hugs. She was one of a kind. The last time I visited Anna, she and I held hands (a first) and she told me "That I couldn't have had a better son than Bill,(... and that she knew there was to be much happiness in his future.)" We talked about luncheons, Christmas Eves, and of course family, and then she shared that she was tired. Much love and comfort to you and yours, Bill. From your friends, Joan and Frank Fishleigh (Mission BC)
