Antonietta De Stefano

In loving memory of a wonderful lady. It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our dear mother, Antonietta De Stefano who was killed in a tragic accident in Burnaby on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at 11AM at the age of 70 years old.

Born on November 22, 1952, in Simbario, Catanzaro, Italy. She later moved to Canada and met Francesco De Stefano. They married April 22, 1972. She was a devoted wife for 51 years.

Together they raised three children: Vince (Iola), Joe, Loredana (Sammy).

She was a loving, generous, thoughtful nonna to: Alyssa, Francesco, Alexia, Dylan and Milan. Who will miss her very much.

She leaves behind her Brother-in-law Antonio, sister-in-law Ida, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends. Also in Italy, her brothers Salvatore and Arcangelo, sister Rina, and many nieces and nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her son Vince, her parents, her in-laws and brother-in-laws.

Our mother enjoyed spending time in the kitchen, prepping wonderful meals for the family, baking and making sure we were always well fed. That made her happy. But what she treasured the most were her grandchildren. The love she had for them was unmeasurable. They were her life.

Mom was also the one taking care of dad who has dementia. She was superwoman. She had a big heart and always wanted to help. She always put everyone first before her needs.

Mom, we will miss you terribly, you will never be forgotten.

Mamma che riposi in pace al fianco di tuo caro figlio, Vincenzo. Dio ti ha portato via dalla terra per portarti lassu’ in mezzo agli angeli, oltre il cielo e le nuvole. Ma nessuno potra’ mai portarti via dal nostro cuore. Ci mancherai tanto.

Visitation for family and friends will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 2025 Napier Street, Vancouver, BC on November 29, 2023 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm.

Mass of catholic burial will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 2025 Napier Street, Vancouver, BC on November 30, 2023 at 10:00am.

Entombment will follow at the South Mausoleum, Ocean View Burial Park in Burnaby, BC
