We are deeply saddened to hear of the loss in the Chirico family. I’ve had the privilege of working with Salvatore and spending time with both him and Claudia — a beautiful family who live by the strong family values that were no doubt instilled by Antonio and Melina. Their warmth, kindness, and deep love for one another are a reflection of the truly special people they are.

To our Dear Chirico Family and Friends our sincere Condolences on the Passing of your Father Tony.  As a Very close neighbor Tony would often come over, always with the latest frozen catch or Melina’s backing. I would embrace his generosity with a little home made limoncello or a touch of home brew that he so appreciatively loved. In the many conversations in Italian (dialect), he would tell me of the many struggles he endured in his life, as well as all the achievements  but what he was most proud of was his kids and grandkids and I was so happy that he would confide in me. He would make Teresa and I feel like Family. Tony in my opinion was an unsung hero, an extremely hard-working man that devoted all his life to his beautiful family all the while true and honorable to his many Friends. I for one will miss his smile and never forget his voice and caring words, He was like an older brother I was not fortunate to have! Tony My Friend, may God Grant You the serenity that you so rightfully deserve. With the hope to reunite someday in another dimension. Arrivederci Caro Amico.

So sad we didn’t see Tony in his final days but maybe the blessing is that we have the fond memories of happy times  back in the day.
