Armando Franco

Armando Franco passed away the morning of September 14, 2025 at Royal Columbian Hospital. He was a beloved partner, stepfather and brother.

Armando was born in Honduras in 1961 and moved to Canada in 1987.

Predeceased by his mother, Elena, Armando was a beloved brother to his siblings: Nora, Mirian, Irma, Leonor, Eda, Dunia, Mayra, Eliseo, Januario, Alonso, and Jorge.

Armando is survived by his partner Maria who he met in 2000, stepdaughters Reyna and Yoselin, and predeceased stepson Franklin. Armando was also a beloved brother-in-law to Austria, Dita, Melido and Emilio.

Armando was a hard worker, worked at Trocadero for many years and then at the famous John B Pub.

Armando’s passion was the garden, growing fresh fruits and vegetables. Armando liked to stay home, enjoyed Maria’s cooking and just relaxing and watching movies. Armando had a big heart and was always helping his family in Honduras.

Armando will be truly missed by many.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Thursday, September 25 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church followed by the burial at 1:00 PM at Ocean View Burial Park, Grand Mausoleum, 4000 Imperial St, Burnaby.
